Verbal Analogies L

Verbal analogies measure verbal analytical insight. This test is about discovering logical connections between words. It involves the understanding of what one reads and to be able to distinguish between primary and secondary issues, regarding, for example, the ability to learn (subject)theory. The test can be used in selection procedures, especially for job positions in which verbal and/or written reasoning ability is important.

Example question

With this test it is the intention that a relationship is found between two words. Three words and a question mark are provided. There is a relationship between the top two words. A word must be placed where the question mark is, which, together with the lower word has a relationship analogous to the relationship between the upper two words.

This intelligence or ability test is relevant for job positions in which one works with language. The level of job positions is lower and medium secondary education. A limited vocabulary is needed to complete the test.
